Information systems play critical roles in business, government, and daily life and therefore the programme will produce highly skilled information system management professionals who will be able to advice and implement appropriate information systems in the private, public and the Ngo sectors.
Most managers though aware that good decisions are based on reliable and accurate information, are ignorant on the value of information systems as the source of reliable information. Developing knowledge, skills and attitudes of managers will avert the above mentioned issues.
A management information system (MIS) is a computer system consisting of hardware and software that serves as the backbone of an organization's operations. An MIS gathers data from multiple online systems, analyzes the information, and reports data to aid in management decision-making.

The combination of the PHP programming language and MySQL database technology allows participants to develop increasingly complex web applications. AJAX; a hot technology that many believe is the future of website development will also be introduced.
