BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

This is a foundation certificate for civil engineering and its a hands on vocational training designed to equip its graduates with practical skills and competencies required in the construction industry.

it focuses on practical and theoretical experiences on bricklaying, concreting, roof construction, steel bending, cad design, painting, wall finishes and tiling. There are support modules like applied math, entrepreneurship skills.

The program runs for two years divided into four semesters and a mandatory industrial training at the end of each academic year.

Targets UCE (O-LEVEL) graduates and UCPC (JUNIOR CERTIFICATE) in building, carpentry and plumbing.

These graduates work as site supervisors, masons, independent contractors and can progress academically like diploma civil eng, diploma water eng etc.
